Hi SpRambler,

I believe it's the UPDATEENABLED and UPDATESOURCE options which you need to use. I specified these as template overrides in the Run-Install.config. I'm unsure if these will work in the Configuration.ini files as I've not tested this.

Example:
        <TemplateOverrides>
              ...
          <Setting Name="UPDATEENABLED" Value="TRUE" />
          <Setting Name="UPDATESOURCE" Value="..\Patches" />
                  ...
        </TemplateOverrides>
From there, it should just be a case of adding your patch .exes under the location you specify and the SQL Server installation will pick these up automatically. This applies to SQL Server 2012 and above.

If you're attempting to install SQL Server 2008 R2 then you'll need to extract the .exe files first and use the PCUSOURCE/CUSource options instead as it uses slipstream.

Alternatively, I have a PreScript that allows for a SP to be defined as a Parameter which will then slipstream the Install on the Fly instead of slipstreaming the source. Of course slipstreaming to the latest version is best practice, this option, allows us to remain flexible in the process.

I will be working this SP into the core very soon.
